From my diary:

I was hesitant to meet him today. He had a rough night. He was clearly in a bad mood. 

But then I thought, if I can't be there for him on his bad days, am I really a good friend to him? 

Don't make him angry. Be understanding today. It's all I keep telling myself. Coordinating today's meeting was hard. It was a good meet though. At the end of the day, I'm glad I decided to go with my instincts and meet him.
