Sexuality

I'm a contradiction.

I explore.

I regret things I probably shouldn't.

If I'm comfortable, I'll ask you about the most passionate sexual experience you have had.

I can't go back to being just friends.

I'm afraid I'll go too far.

Blush. Crush. Fantasy. Stop.

I explore.

I contradict myself.

Uncertainties

Why are uncertainties so scary?

Why does what will happen next make my heart pound so hard?

Red

Since I am a doctor, the color red reminds me of blood.

It shows the beauty of the human spirit when a stranger donates blood out of compassion. I recall the anxiety of the patient, when red is being drawn in a syringe, hoping the results aren't an indicator of upcoming health struggles. Red is the color of the blush of a newborn, when it smiles. Without red, life is pale, or even worse, blue.

You are right, cosmicweavers, red is the color of strength. Red reminds me of the color worn by the bride on her wedding day - A strong lady who is now a part of another family.

Red is the color of Ruby, my favorite stone. Personally, I believe having a red bag brings good luck - I always have one in my collection.

Red also reminds me of the color chosen for clothes on a particular Eid, along with green. It fills me with sorrow. Red is the color of tears.

The Heart and the Bottle by Oliver Jeffers

"Once, there was a girl, much like any other, whose head was filled with all the curiosities of the world, with thoughts of the stars, with wonder at the sea, she took delight in finding new things..."

Make an effort

"Perhaps the strength that you find within to make peace after a fight is a testament to the unremitting love you have inside."

- Gayathri Srinivasan

I love this writing by Gaayu. I so very much agree.

Your efforts to resolve the fight, your attempts to clear misunderstandings show that you care. That you love.

People who make mountains out of molehills, believe in rumors about you, build walls and make no attempt to clarify or sort the story straight don't care about you.

We are all different human beings. So it's natural that we are going to have fights with people. There's nothing unusual about it. What matters is respecting differences and making peace.

We got a mat

We purchased a door mat the other day and it was wrapped pretty skilfully. No need for plastic bags, let's use strings! So ecofriendly!

Aditi

May I confess something?
I really love the concept of Bad Wolf. The whole idea that Rose / Bad Wolf leaves those words scattered everywhere to make sure that the younger Rose doesn't give up and lose hope really made me think about how symbolic it was. The only person who can save / help you is yourself. Kind of like Harry conjuring a patronus to save himself and Sirius when he realizes that it's not his dad who he sees but himself.
Whenever I'm sad, I just imagine a future version of me who assures me that things are going to get better. I know it's too weird but it's always worked for me.

Drawing ECG

I like to imagine the heart scribbling on a piece of paper and that drawing is the ECG.

Pediatrics

Here's the best part about pediatrics: Children.

You'll see a mother playing train train with her child in the ward, a kid showing off his biceps with an IV in the forearm and a little one measuring the height and weight of his action figure.

How I wish I could've captured them all on camera.

Dead dream

And so her dream dies today, or maybe she knew it was dead a long time ago - She just didn't bury it.

She blames herself for hoping it'd live. She should have accepted this a long time ago.

From my eyes

I wish I could tell you about everything. What I saw, how it feels to be here, each moment I experienced.
Damn! You'd be amazed. Life is beautiful... & I'm awestruck!
I really wish I could show you everything I think is beautiful... So you could fall in love with it, like I did!

Views from an airplane window

I am amazed by what I see while I sit here, it's like a chair in the middle of sky. I gaze at the clouds, scattered in the blueness of the sky.

It is the most beautiful place I have ever seen. I look below and I realize that there are unexplored depths of the ocean beneath me. Above - skies with infinite possibilities. Across, I see the horizon, filled with the unknown.

It's enough to change anyone's perspective. We belong here. In the sky. The world is so small. Tiny petty things. Let them not ever get you down.

Remember, remember that view.

When blue and white and orange and purple made you question everything you thought you knew.

Perhaps we all need a trip to a new place, a view like this, to remind us of what truly matters - nothing.

His fallacy is that he never speak about what he wants

Sometimes what we want is not in alignment with what we can have and the knowledge kills our voice. That is why we suppress what we desire. It is a fallacy indeed. Leads to misunderstandings and false assumptions. Later on, you find yourself wishing you spoke up so that they knew. Often it is too late by then.

Ramzaan is probably the best month in a Muslim's life.

What we do during Ramzaan:

Super heavy early morning breakfast. And after finishing, we all think to ourselves, "I won't feel hungry the entire day after eating this much!" :D

Fast.

Share Iftaari in the evening! I had a mini Iftaar party almost everyday. It seems we stay hungry, but in reality we eat more than usual. :P

Meet up family, old friends & new people. The entire month is a beautiful get together, allowing you to catch up with people you don't see often.

Pray together, for others & among others, pray for ourselves.

End the month happily with Eid. Meeting friends and family while gobbling up Sheer kurma, Kharak and anything sweet! ;)

Ramzaan is probably the best month in a Muslim's life.
Until next year, Ramzaan, will truly be missed.

Eid mubarak everyone! :)

To do

Need to do the most productive work I can
Need to make a schedule
Need to maintain a proper sleep wake cycle
