Since I have known this word, what it meant, I have been longing to say it. Here it is, the one and only word - "MATCHED"
It feels so weird. A new chapter is going to begin, it is exciting! But my heart breaks, because when I say, "Goodbye USMLE" I bid farewell to the journey that made me a better me. I say goodbye to 7 years of passionately dreaming and pure grit.
I couldn't have done this alone - Thank you to everyone who has made this possible. To seniors who have guided me at every step of the way. To study buddies, you have seen and experienced every emotion before every exam. To people on the internet who give you advice. To friends who supported, you are more than just friends to me. To all my professors, teachers and mentors. To the kind people who sanctioned me loans. To the lovely people who invited me to stay at their houses. To strangers that become friends. To hundreds of people who have made this possible. You have all helped me in your little but significant ways.
I don't need to say this on a Facebook status - But of course, thank you to the 7 special people in my life, those who I consider my family. My pillars of strength.
To the non-medical folks who are wondering if this is some sort of shaadi match, lol no: I have been selected to pursue further training in the US. Where? Don't know. I'll know which Internal Medicine Residency Program I've been selected in on Friday, March 16th!
